SNACK & STACK

Portable Cutlery Set for School Age Children

The Snack and Stack is a fun, portable cutlery set for young children who attend school for the full day.

Concealed inside of the wooden building blocks, are magnets. The magnets allow the children to use the closed utensils as blocks, making the eating experience playful and educational while developing motor skills.

Snack & Stack was a team project, my fellow designers' through these links: Miggy Fajardo , Mia Saxon, Devanshi Mafatia

----Food Grade Silicone
The body is made from a maple wood block. Once cut into a hexagonal prism, the inside is shelled out via CNC machining, including small pockets in each of the sides so that strong neodymium magnets can be put in later.

The ‘cap’ is also machined with a slight lift to lock into place with the handle. The head of the fork, knife, and spoon will be injection molded separately and inserted into a machined cavity of the wood ‘cap’.
