Personal Design Principles

My professional vision and purpose as an Industrial Designer revolves around: the circularity of a products' life, the greater social impact that design can have, as well as the beauty of everyday things.
[A bit more about my] Personal Design Principles
1. Circularity

Sustainability feels like the obvious word here but what does that even mean? Designers of GenZ are hyper aware of the fact that carelessness in any aspect of the design process, from conception to disposal, runs the risk of creating more of the very pollutants that accelerate the timeline for environmental destruction. So I'd like to keep the products I design in ecological rotation for as long as possible.
2. Social impact

It's unclear if Jony Ive set out to change the fabric of society when he created Apple's signature designs, but how intensely the public embraced the products created an unforeseen shift in communication and style preference. Designers may not be able to predict these techtonic shifts, but the thoughtful designer who has the human experience at the center of their practice is weary of the effects-- good or bad-- their design may have upon its release; or even decades into the future.

3. Beauty

Simply put, I think life is more enjoyable when surrounded by beautiful objects. I see no reason for everyday functional objects to be ugly. It's the everyday objects that are well designed that inexplicably make the mundane more exciting.
